"The South Miami Children's clinic was designed to provide high quality care to uninsured and underinsured children." For the past few years, Dr. Tina Carroll-Scott, pediatrician, has been the Medical Director of the clinic. The hours of the clinic are:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 9 am to 4 pm

Wednesday: 12 noon to 7 pm

Saturday and Sunday: by appointment.

The City, in conjunction with PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) Program, is offering free attic insulation to some home owners in South Miami. Adequate insulation helps to cut down on cooling and heating bills and, therefore, on the use of electricity. As long as electricity is generated with fossil fuels, the more people can decrease their electricity use, the better for the environment. The selection of homes to be insulated for free will be based on family income. Applications will be accepted through the end of January 2021.
